One-to-One
Individual Preceptorship
Intensive, personalised 12-month 1:1 preceptorship support for AHPs stepping into independent practice.
Going straight from university into self-employed or independent practice can feel exciting, but it can also feel daunting — especially when you’re suddenly making clinical decisions, navigating your professional responsibilities and figuring out what “being an AHP” really looks like without a team of colleagues around you.
Blume Beginning gives you someone in your corner throughout that first year.
It’s also ideal for organisations supporting an AHP who may be the only member of their profession within the team. Having a dedicated space each month to reflect, build confidence, develop your practice and talk through the realities of working as an AHP can make all the difference.
Together, we’ll make sure you’re not just getting through your first year — you’re growing into the clinician you want to become.
What’s included?
• Monthly 2-hour 1:1 sessions — a dedicated space to check in, reflect and work through topics relevant to you and your practice. We can explore your own priorities or choose from a bank of Blume topics.
• A bespoke CPD portfolio — created around you and your role, with development linked to the HCPC CPD standards.
• Your own dedicated preceptor — I can be your preceptor throughout the programme, or I can support and train someone within your organisation to take on the role.
• Ongoing portfolio and professional development — keeping your learning, reflection, goals and development moving throughout your first year.
• A consistent space to talk — somewhere to ask the questions you might not feel comfortable asking elsewhere, celebrate your wins, work through challenges and make sense of those inevitable “am I actually doing this right?” moments.
You will grow throughout the year, following the rough structure below:
• Finding Your Feet (Months 1–3)
Building confidence, navigating the transition from student to practitioner and developing your clinical independence.
• Finding Your Voice (Months 4–6)
Exploring communication, feedback, boundaries, teamwork and the challenges of finding your place within a professional team.
• Finding Your Identity (Months 7–9)
Understanding your values, strengths and professional identity, and reflecting on the clinician you want to become.
•Finding Your Direction (Months 10-12)
Reflecting on the year, celebrating progress, identifying what's next and creating your next-year career plan.
Everyone goes through their first year at a different pace, this is why this is just a rough outline as it may take someone a little longer to find their feet.
Structure without rigidity.
Reflection without paperwork overload (I know you don't have time for this & don't want to feel like you're back at uni!)
Development without a one-size-fits-all approach.
*Please note this does not replace clinical supervision*
